Hate preacher Anjem Choudary accuses Britain of ‘radicalising’ MP David Amess’ killer
HATE preacher Anjem Choudary has sparked further outrage by accusing Britain of ‘radicalising’ the killer of MP David Amess.
The convicted terrorist, 55, claimed British foreign policy prompted Ali Harbi Ali to stab the MP for Southend to death.
It comes after friends said Ali’s mind had been turned by videos Choudary himself had posted online.
In a blog post on a website hosted by US company GoDaddy, Choudary wrote of Ali: “Who radicalized him?
“It is now evident from his clear testimony that this was about British foreign policy in Syria and Iraq.”
Choudary said he thought the media would “paint Ali as a monster.”
MP Nigel Mills said: “It is shameful that this atrocious human being is allowed to spout this despicable language freely.
“Choudary’s poison has impacted and influenced the people behind some of this country’s worst atrocities in recent years.”
Ali, 25, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of father-of-five Mr Amess during ward surgery in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.
GoDaddy has been approached for comment.
